The group was originally formed by Gabriel Yacoub who is the founder with Mary Yacoub, Hughes de Courson and Laurent Vercambre. Gabriel and Marie had released an album in 1973, Pierre de Grenoble, which led to the creation of MALICORNE

Gabriel Yacoub was formerly part of the group of Alan Stivell. By his own admission, he decided to choose to perform songs from the French heritage rather than singing in Breton or Gaelic languages in an artificial manner, even artificial. He left the group to found Alan Stivell Malice in 1974.

Their influence in the folk wave of the 1970s was important in France, alongside more traditional groups like La Bamboche and Celtic music of Alan Stivell. The group was characterized by the use of both folk and electroacoustic instruments. Their arrangements were an illustration of the Folk-style progressive rock. For the texts, they did the same call to the fund that folk compositions. Roda-Gil, a famous songwriter, contributed to swings in fire, the penultimate album of original group. This originality allowed them to survive a little longer than others, until early 1980 (after the fashion folk), while in the course of the evolution of the group, some members began solo careers

  • @ssnakessnake2 I remember now, why french don't like "men" as you ! Fuck off !

  • @Agounet Malicorne Gothique ! J'aurais tout entendu dans ma vie ! :D

  • Precision: this song is about the mariage of princess Isabelle of France with Edward II king of England. This was the first mariage between thoose two kingdoms!

If that told you nothing watch "Braveheart", sophie marceau plays Isabelle!
