Over the course of 2011 Suffused have built themselves up into one of Lithuania's top progressive house exports.

Along with Hypnotic Duo and Weepee Suffused have really put Lithuania on the progressive house map so to speak. Ben Benjamin and Tomas Sereikis make up the Suffused production team and after hooking up with Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's Mistiquemusic label at the beginning of this year their fan base has grown immensely. Now with 6 releases on Mistique under their belt this weeks 'Year 2008' makes Suffused seventh appearance on Mistique. If you like big atmospheric progressive house you're love this and with stellar remixes supplied by: Deep Soul Duo, MSZ and Fernando Ferreyra it's another top package from Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's great imprint.
Suffused's original mix leads the package off with a great chugging progressive groove with a wonderful warm and organic feel. It's got a big presence right from the outset and seems tailor made for a big room. As the layers of atmospheric elements and drums continue to build the infectious energy builds along with it. The breakdown brings about a wasteland of liquid sweeps and murky atmospheres that grows as the groove drops back in. It's a hazy wall of emotional melodic refrains that closes the piece out, it's enthralling stuff from Suffused who continue to grow and grow with each production. Easily one of the new progressive house artists this year.
Deep Soul Duo provide the first remix on the package. Their previous two appearance's on Mistique come in the form of their outstanding original productions 'Fellowship' and 'Transfiguration'. Their rework of 'Year 2008' is the duo's first released remix and it's turned out amazingly well. Deep Soul Duo have used all the great atmospheric elements from the original and created a big widescreen interpretation. Huge rumbling energy and a big airy vibe carries this remix higher and higher. The melancholic melody from the original is used nicely as well with a brief appearance in the first drop and then a new lead arp and lovely scattered bell accents follow which lead to the main break. The atmospheric tension is simply colossal during the drop, it's a slow build up with the beats and drum elements slowly making their way back into the mix. Top notch remix and a perfect one for an educated dance floor.
Toronto's MSZ is up next and he brings his interpretation with a much clubbier vibe which adds an interesting new element to the track. The drums have a lot of pop and bounce which help bring this huge atmospheric rocker to the slightly less underground floor. The washes of synths that sweep across the mix are absolutely gorgeous, it's a such a grand and epic sound it's just hard not to like it. MSZ has also added some additional melodic accents to the composition which pushes the emotional senses even higher. But ultimately it's the soaring atmospheres and big spacious sound that does it here, such a great big party vibe on all the mixes here and MSZ continues on an extremely strong run of productions with his remix here.
Argentinean producer and good friend of Release Promo Fernando Ferreyra closes the package out with another top remix to add to his impressive discography. Fernando has focused more on the deeper aspects of the original and also expanded on the melancholic vibe. Some simple arps and washed out pads add a different feel than the previous three mixes. Fernando has also included a wonderful breakbeat transition which focuses on the sparse bell elements from the original really effectively. It's a smooth and sultry groove from Fernando and one that should fit in to a wide range of DJ sets. Superb package from Mistique to kick off the month of November.
