The American Red Cross ECRV 4716

The American Red Cross in Connecticut's ECRV 4716 (Emergency Communications Response Vehicle) was designed and created by national Disaster Technology paid and volunteer staff. The ECRV is driven and operated by the American Red Cross in Connecticut's highly trained staff and volunteers.

The ECRV provides communications links between disaster relief operations; the Disaster Operation Center; the Public Switched Telephone Network; the Internet and other public and private communications networks.

An interoperability switch allows the Red Cross to communicate with the variety of internal communication systems based in the nation-wide network of chapters.
