Charity Begins at Homea

Across America Almost 400,000 people with mental retardation autism cerebral palsy and related developmental disability living at home have no help and have been on waiting lists for years. To take a bite out of this problem, Left Behind in the USA is sponsoring two tax relief proposals to support families who have special needs children. We are proposing a federal income tax credit of up to $10,000 and 3,000 in property tax exemptions to be used to buy medical supplies and services and support. This will allow these families to keep their child at home.

Our proposal will help about 100,000 families obtain needed medical care services and support. Families who have special needs children with a developmental disability on waiting lists are paying income and property taxes which go to support other families who are receiving services. This is unfair. Until the tax codes are redesigned to help all families who have children with special needs, we will be Left Behind in the USA. Join our efforts to end this injustice.
