I was actually a little taken-a-back after hearing the opening song. What were they going to do next - watch hockey? I'm would imagine that's standard operating procedure in Washington. Still it makes me wonder if America is the god of Washingtonians. Was Jesus ever mentioned?

@ineternitypast -what's wrong with the Star Spangled Banner in church - you Christian types want the church all over our government, scools, and laws?? And BTW - Obama is no worse a choice than all the rest of the political scum sent to the White House in the last 50 years.

"Church" should be the body of Christ. The focus should be Christ.
The focus should not be a dog and pony show mixed with nationalism so politicians (of either party) can appear quasi-spiritual in the public eye.

@stryderzer0 you didn't think Obama was going to be the only miserable one in church that day did you. he dragged them along to give him something less obvious to do than making paper footballs out of Scripture and flicking them through biden's fingers. now he could pass the time by having someone to snicker at
