@samspace81 he could outdraw them and outshoot them also.

@atxav8r The Republican Party was a lot different in 1975. It wasn't made up of the crackpots and religious nuts we have today and didn't cater to the wealthiest 1% at the expense of everyone else. Reagan's brand of Republicanism wouldn't be supported by the right wingers of today!

John Wayne on liberals, 1975 interview...he was 100% accurate...very wise man...
"These new liberals...they never listen to your point of view, and they make a decision as to what you (should) think..." (Search "John Wayne on liberals" YouTube)

John Wayne was a great movie star and twice gave Oscar worthy performances - TRUE GRIT and THE SHOOTIST. Politically however he was sooooooooooo far right he was over the horizon. He once said Joseph McCarthy was one of the greatest Americans who ever lived.

RIP Duke! You really are the man, the myth, and the legend!
You negative posters should be ashamed. If you don't like the Duke, get the hell off. On his worst day he could have beat the hell out of any of you! :)

I didn't agree with all his viewpoints, but i appreciated many of his films---he had integrity. And really a better actor than people give him credit for. What's more important is that he had star presence.
