In 2000 a natural rainbow was created in the sky by Fred Stern in front of the WesterKerk Church for Liberation Day

The rainbow was dedicated to the memory of Bert Schierbeek the Dutch Poet

  • Hi Fred,

Was it Great! Thanks for sharing this event with the world. The weather was fabulous, the rainbow very visible, and the sight against the old canal houses fantastic. The day was 4 May for rehearsal, and 5 May 2000 for the real event. The final rainbow was on 6 May in the harbour. I was fortunate to have taken part.
