I have being trying to understand why Luciana Souza was chosen as one of the most embraced singers in these last few years, by so many great musicians. She is definitely a competent singer; a lot of musical knowledge. I used to see her at Berklee while I was studying there. Is it her charisma? I don't know. There are a dozen singers in Brasil that are way more expressive and inspiring. I certainly admire her for being so confident and for conquering a very solid place in the world of jazz.
