  • hey just a idea but why not use exhaust pipe from auto parts store. it'll be thicker than stove pipe and you can get elbos and straight pipe.

  • i just used wut i had

  • we got that non-combustible dryer tube for our stove too - it combusted when to stove got super hot. One of my videos called stove test #1 shows this.

  • well... if you look, i have a 19 inch pipe on it before the dryer tube! its not perfect, but hasnt caught at all. how exactly did it flame?

  • go back to SCHOOL..cause as a dropout ya failed....come on ..really a paint can and dryer vent ?????...glad it YOUR garage..not mine

  • That looks like a kool idea for the garage.Been looking at some to put in my garge for winter use.

  • Cozy neat little stove ! Thats really good to take something thats going to be thrown away like that metal bucket and those empty paint cans and make something that can warm you great ideal !!!

  • @bret354 Just dont use galvenised pipe as it gives off poison fumes when heated

  • Thank you. I added this to my page. I wanted somthing to show my viewers that anyone could make with limited tools to keep from freezing to death during a natural, man made or economic disaster. Something for the unprepaired. Sure, its unsafe. Its just less unsafe than below freezing temperature. Just keep the fire small... and maby invest in a carbon monoxide detecter. Ah, heck. Now I have to go buy one to not be a hipocrite. Where are my keys?.....

  • @willibill1 You're obviously a city slicker with no knowledge of wood stoves.. This is probably safer than gas heat. You're not stupid, youre just not used to the way wood burning handles. It's very safe, my house is heated by a coal stove we burn wood in as well. It runs literally 24/7, we don't put it out at night because if we do it's pretty cold when we get up! Gas heat is very unsafe and expensive... That's why I live in the country.

  • I built one very similar... With an old gas can from like the 40's and a rain gutter as my chimney! No door, it's propped up on about 12 cinder blocks. Keeps my shack warm for hours without even touching it.

  • make one out of a 44 gal drum I think you in the states call'em 55 gal drums

  • I think you better rebuild it, your going to burn your garage down for sure......
