  • @Zyanix Did you play with your friend against cheating AI? I'd love to see someone beating it.

  • @Bhorius We did give it a try once or twice but I don't think we were able to beat a cheating AI. And I don't think we ever will, cheating AI is very nearly impossible.

  • Lol your economy was so messed up the entire time :D but anyway, very nice gameplay) what was the AI type?

  • @Bhorius Yes very bad eco i know xD. We always use Sorian AI (it's an AI mod that makes the AI a bit harder by having it use a better variety of units and better tactics) we usually play against the Sorian AI Adaptive, so my guess is that was the case in this game as well.

  • power then mass??? can anyone tell me why??

  • @jackyC712644 I can tell you exactly why: I crapped up

  • @caelisnowland Post 2 In C&C almost everything is done for you: you only have to make buildings, units, get some resources and you are set. There is hardly any actual strategy involved. On another note:I dislike Supcom2 because it is played too much like C&C.

Be advised that it's all just a matter of opinion.

  • @caelisnowland Post1 When I say this game is better I'm talking about gameplay, graphics is one of the least important things in this case. This game is alot more sophisticated, which is exactly what makes it a better RTS. You have to figure out and do things in the best order possible and in time to not crap up other things going on in the battlefield, this is what makes it an actual strategy game.

  • Hey there, can you tell me how did you do that with the 4 mass storage on the mass extractors?

  • On the contrary, SupCom's gameplay is more "tactical" than C&C because everything is simulated. Every single shot is tracked individually. Placement of defensive structures and units matters beyond simply making sure that they are "within firing range" of something. If there is a giant fucking wall in front of a unit, and you tell that unit to shoot at something, none of its shots will hit. Meanwhile, your opponent is lobbing artillery on you from over the hill.

  • Wow, hell of a lot of elitists here. C&C isn't for 12 year olds. I love the hell out of Supreme Commander, but I also love the more tactical gameplay (as opposed to SupCom's strategic gameplay) of the C&C series, and a lot of other RTS games. They're both great types of RTS games in their own way, no need to be elitist about it.

  • @caelisnowland

Graphics makes absolutely no difference for gameplay. And Supreme Commander 1 (and FA) is not really so sophisticated. The only big difference is the scale and how the resource system work. In Red Alert and Starcraft for instance you can only start building when you actually have the resources. It is used and spent instantly, while in SupCom it comes in and used at a continous rate. I do not quite see what you mean by annoying to play. Probably just not your taste.

  • sounds exactly how I would speak english,

    you are from the netherlands!
