@234689ify What i said is that even today not all of directors make these kind of movies or scenes realistic, it doesn't have to be realistic, also you can call it what you want, is your opinion, i'm only commenting or replying to specify that directors have their way of making movies, and their intent is not up to all audiences satisfaction, BTW this was made back in 1960 so the cheesy screaming is almost a clichè of that era of scream queens :)

@234689ify I know what you mean, did you know what i meant with Hitchcock direction?, Each director has his/her own language to make a film express itself with the audience, this ''bad acting'' as you call it is just an artistic/directional decition. :)

@234689ify Janet Leigh is a wonderful actress, if you've seen the original Psycho you know what i'm talking about, the shower scene on the other hand, well, This is not an exploitaion flick or a gore movie so the stabbing and screaming is not going to be that exagerated, is Hitchcock direction :)
