Jean Daniels, 14-time long drive champion gives a tip on how to hit it longer

South African Jean Daniels started competing in long drive competitions since 1999. Now based in Malaysia, he spends his time travelling around the region conducting long drive clinics and providing consultation services for tournament organizers. His personal record is 511 yards. In competitions, he uses a 4-degree driver and an XXXX stiff shaft to accommodate his 150mph swing.
Golf Digest Singapore, with special thanks to the organizers of the Longest Drive Family Carnival 2009, spoke exclusively with Jean. Here is his tip on how to hit it further and straighter down the fairways.

long drive CHUMP sounds about right. Tour player don't swing out of their shoes but it's hard not to fall back when when you REALLY swing 140mph. I can believe that Jamie Sadlowski on occasion swings 150 but this guy... let's see it!
