Gina B. Nahai's latest novel is partially drawn from her own life growing up in Iran during the last years of the Shah. "Caspian Rain" is the story of a dysfunctional Jewish family dealing with betrayal, infidelity, ambition and class in the midst of a growing fundamentalist Islamic revolution.
Haven't read this one yet, but Moonlight on the Ave. of Faith is terrific.
