Balance Out the 5 Cent deposit and Litter all over the place...The City will have to contract out people too clean it up.. Then they will spend the money in the economy..

LOL i have about 10-15 bags of bottles and cans underneath my porch. I havent had the time to recycle those bad boys.
-
Michigan does the same thing, except for we have a 10 cent deposit.
-
It's a good way for the homeless to make a little eating money and like you said no one bothers to throw them away.

The five cent deposit is not to insure the can is recycled, the whole point of the program is to make sure that they profit off the scrap metal. By making you pay above and beyond the cost of the product with a deposit, this forces you to relinquish to aluminum which you rightfully purchased...I just wish more people realized this instead of nievely thinking the government cares about the enviroment.
Same damn thing in California. Total scam just like America has become. I think I'll go out and rob someone today
