A two hour session at Warrington Bank Quay produced some good action.
Firstly, BR Standard 2-6-0 number 76079 speeds through towards Crewe, running about fourteen minutes early. She was on her way to Crewe, where she was to head off to Machynlleth in Wales. From there, she is to work the 2009 season of The Cambrian.
Secondly, West Coast Railway's 47804 and 47826 top and tailed an ECS movement towards Crewe(owing to being taken by surprise, I only took shots instead of footage).
Thirdly, DB Schenker 66181 passes platform 1, with a scrap train in tow. It was sat at the North end of the station earlier on, with a few unknown problems.
Next, DB Schenker 67029 Royal Diamond heads away to the North with a working from Arpley (heading to Liverpool Gladstone Dock), as a Virgin Pendolino pulls away from platform 3.
Finally, West Coast Railways 33207 Jim Martin brings the Cambrian stock from Carnforth, towards Crewe where 76079 were waiting to join up.
