Don Deshler, director of the University of Kansas Center for Research and Learning and professor of special education, testifies before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions May 4, 2010 at a committee hearing on the reauthorization of the the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The legislation, originally adopted in 1965, is intended to improve educational opportunities for poor children. Deshlers research specializes in adolescent literacy, instructional interventions for at-risk learners, and learning strategies, and school wide improvement

  • The Winning Program is great for these kids. Pearson has dicontinued it, but the author is waiting for them to give her the rights back. In addition poetry memorization, the cladsics, drama, great literature Core Knowledge literature can help.
