@sasbabeuk I was 14 when Parklife was released. Lucky for me I was *just* old enough to appreciate Blur and the whole Britpop movement. It was a really great time to be growing up and yes, the 00s have been bloody lacking as far as British music is concerned.

I was 16 when Stone Roses s/t came out. 18 with Loveless and Nowhere. 19 for Parklife and Definitely Maybe. You're right- they were really good times for music. We just took it for granted.
However, there's still some good stuff coming out. Jagjaguwar's a good label- Subpop is good again too. It goes in waves- don't be so atavistic.

I wish I was 10years older. I was 9 when the Parklife album came out. I never had the opportunity to appreciate the full extent of Blur. The 90's was such a great era for all music, the 00's just seems like a disappointment in comparison.
