WONDERFUL

A terrific voice. Unfortunately, audiences were not inclined to support opera. Had she done something in a more popular vein she would likley have won hands down. I hope she was able to go on to sing elsewhere as she doubtless brought great joy and comfort to others with her amazine voice. Thanks for sharing this as a wonderful tribute to your most talented mother.

What a voice. Your mother passed away on my birthday. She had a great voice. Your right she was a great talent. You must be very proud.

This is indeed a gifted vocalist. She reminds me of leontyne Price, another black vocalist that does opera.

She would have been very flattered by that compliment. Thanks.

I remember the program when I was a little girl. There were no harsh critism of the performers, no Simon in those days. These people unlike the AI program were talented in their different ways. It was all not about image or a recording contract.
Oh, and BTW, Byron, that was a fitting tribute to your mother. She had a gifted voice and shared it to the world. Who knows, she may had inspired many singers who graced the stages today and inspired kids to dream.
