I love the excuses these BMW fan boys come up with to defend BMW against rival car manufacturers. Instead of admitting that these new more conservative BMW's are a sign that BMW has succumbed finally to the larger market share rather than the niche of idiots they designed for before; they shit out remarks like "its just a dressed up Toyota" or "its just a dressed up VW". Its like me saying " BMW helped the Nazis" , it neither here nor their when we are arguing about the better car...Peace!

BMW make the best cars. This is definitely the best car in its class. However i would have the 730Ld SE model as it combines perfection with economey. This car is truly stunning.

@justincrap BMW was the first to use Xenon head lights (1991 750, 1994 US spec 750). You have to depends on European manufacturers for technological advancement and innovation. (BMW = TCS, Mercedes = ESP (revolutionary), Saab = heated(1971) and ventilated(1998) seats. Stuff like that, big and small. The Americans and Japanese can't match.

I wasn't talking about innovations! i was talking about the "first to use" thing. You want innovations? like i-Drive? what about Active steering? Adaptive headlights? All the way to the limit slip differentials, to the heads up display, Active suspension and electronically adjustable dampers? and loads of loads more. I dont know about ABS, but i know that traction control is BMWs innovation. All the cars are using BMWs techs and only the best can nearly do it properly.
