The little boy saying "that was it" says it all. His dad made him stay awake till 2:30AM to see a bright light in the sky for only 5 seconds... How frustrating is that?

Yah, I hear ya. I aim to make it down there for a launch someday, it's been on my "list of stuff to do before I'm too old to enjoy it", for a long time :)

especially when you have to wait nearly 6 hours to see it from the causeway like i did, but i was lucky enough that it launched the day i was vacationing in florida and that i actually got to see one of the few night launches
