This was the third and most destructive tornado I filmed during the May 19th, 2010 outbreak. After coming into western Stillwater I repositioned to the north slightly in the parking lot of the New Life church were a church's congregation had massed out in front of their building to watch the storm. Foolishly thinking the now high precipitation supercell was transitioning to outflow dominant I began to relax and let my guard down a bit. Slowly off to my west a silhouette of a large tornado began to come into view and before long it looked to threaten me and the crowd of people around me. I shouted for them to take shelter making them flee into the church while I started to call in the tornado to other chasers around me via my ham radio. The tornado passed south of my location and began to dissipate shortly after entering the city limits but unfortunately as the tornado was coming into view it was successful in destroying a barn and a mobile home. The scraps of sheet metal could see in the funnel was from these structures. After being out run by the storm we caught a short glimpse of another large yet brief tornado to the east of town but were unable to catch up with it. Bellow are some relevant links to this tornado including the local news story about the mobile home that was hit.

What's with all the control freak yelling at the beginning?
geonerd 1 year ago
@geonerd If you read the video's info you will find out that I was yelling to a large group of people that were across the parking lot from us watching the storm. They didn't see it coming until I pointed it out. Also when I told the person to climb into my car it was because he was new to chasing and I didn't want him to still be outside the car in case we needed to quickly move.
