Konkreetne plaadistus pärineb 1938. aastast Eesti 1930ndate aastate kuulsaimalt, John Pori orkestrilt.

This tune was written by a German composer Hans-Otto Borgmann for a UFA-film "Tango Notturno" (1937). It became the super hit all over Europe, especially in German cultural space. In the film the tune was performed by the Polish singer and actress Pola Negri, but it was followed by dozens of other performers, also in other languages.
This Estonian version is recorded in 1938 and performed by John Pori Orchestra. John Pori (real name Johannes Porisammul, 1906-47) was in 1930s the leader of most popular dance orchestra in Estonia. Friedrich Kaasik (1905-92) was an Estonian musician (violin, saxophone etc), also known as a famous singer in John Pori Orchestra in 1930s.
Hans-Otto Borgmann (1901-77) was one of the most famous film music composers in Germany during the first half of the 20th century. Since 1931 until the end of World War II he was also the musical leader of the German National Film Company UFA.
The record isn't digitally cleaned or restored. It was digitized as is actually sounds on acoustic gramophone HMV 101 (1929). Both the record and gramophone are a little bit worn out over the decades.

  • Recorded in Riga, Latvia ca. 1937-38.

Bellaccord-Electro was a pre 1940 Latvian record compagny.

Great recording in the Latvian language.
