What are the specs on the cabinet you're running through? just curious.

It's a Hartke VX 4x10. It has 4 10" speakers which can handle 400 watts at 8 ohms, plus a horn with a throat compression drivers. 2 1/4" inputs in the back. Hope this helps!

Tried this one with a bunch of other amps at a store yesterday, (al on a Ibanez SR with Bartolini pick-ups). I was eventually left with choosing between this one and a Ampeg SVT-450. Both amazing amps for their price range. But as a person who plays Heavy metal but also enjoys more modern heavier styles of metal, i think this thing is gonna keep me abit more pleased then a Ampeg.Therefor im probably gonna order mine soon, can't wait to fire it of at gigs.

@StringSlinger26 its prob the horn on his vx cab, the thing about the horns on those cabs is that you can turn it off. i have the same head running a 410xl and its quiet as well. i usually dont like horns in my bass cabs

I dont know why this vid shows so much noise. I have the exact same amp on a Hartke Transporter 4x10 cab and its dead quiet when im not playing. I play on a warwick corvette bass.

hey i need a bass amp 4 larger venues and im looking at a few of these. would anybody recommend any of them? I have a 1970's Kustom 200w head i'll b using in junction w/ the cabinet until i save up enough 4 a hartke head. if anybody knows anything about any of these models, that would be greatly appreciated
