@RaleTheBlade My Forte5 gets to 60 in about 7 too.. Leave it in drive and floor the pedal
-
@NeverMeanToTheGreen Oh, and it's a 2012. But I'm pretty sure there are no differences between the '12 and the '11. The drivetrain and everything should be the same between the Forte Koup and the Forte5, I think...

@NeverMeanToTheGreen how? I've never been able to get my Forte5 SX from 0-60 in under 8 seconds. Tried it with the traction off and on. Used regular old Drive and Sportmatic mode. It can never breech 8 seconds 0-60.

kia's forte engine are dogshitt go for the 2.4 i v-tec civic si 2012
-
@daizmiester its 173 horsepower. its almost same as camry
-
Road & Track got their 6 speed manual SX to 60 in 6.9 sec, and the quarter in 15.2 or so seconds at 89-90 MPH. These "testers" are by far the slowest times I've seen for the Fortes, especially manual ones. Most testers and owners manage in the low 7s for 0-60.

i dont care what these fools say, i drive one of these every day. i can get the sportomatic to 60 in less than 7, these fellas must not know how to use it
-
@glowerpower This is a 5-speed automatic, I'm sure the newer 6-speeds (auto or manual) are a step up.

I have a 2011 SX and it gets 0-60 in about 7 seconds.

I own this car, all black leather interior, it's red, has red stitching moon roof, and it looks damn good. Im not a car enthusiast and I don't care that it takes 3 seconds longer to reach sixty that's not my problem. I commute a lot and this car is as reliable as it is fun! Good job kia. Btw on cruise control it gets 35 mpg highway, just so you know.
