Hendrix diden't play the middle because he wanted it to sound like war, like bombs bursting, men fighting, total chaos ect, it was a musical freedom of speech. Who ever calls it crap should be shot on site. Jimi loved America and did this straight from his soul, hell he even served in the 101st Airbourne in the Army in the early 60's.

I have to admit, I wish America was like the old days again. True, there was no such thing as the 'good days', but there were times known as 'better days'. All you hear in music is about glitter, fashion, who's better than who, and just things that would make a person like me sick. This instrumental could beat any of those mainstream whore's music any day. I proudly stand by my opinion and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I'm in America, I have the freedom of speech. Or at least, I used to.

@redbarron718 He diden't do any combat, and also he goofed off so he could get discharged so he could put a band together. He still served tho, still did his duty to his country. John Fogerty also did the same as him. I don't care if any soldier doesen't do combat. My father did 3 combat tours in the 198th 67-70, 3 Purple Hearts and 2 Bronze Stars.. I would be just as proud of him if he diden't see combat. He still served and wore the Uniform.

My teacher made us STOP this recording at ourjunior high (high ha ha ) prom in 1972 because it was dis respectful Unpatriotic !!! Love it !!!!!

My teacher played this in my class and all the kids were like this SUCKS and I started luaghing and said "You, poor mindless childs, this is by far the best music you will ever hear in your life, SO SHUP UP AND LISTEN AND THROW YOUR RAP CRAP AWAY." they just kinda stared at me and didn't say anything more about how it sucked. In fact. Some of the kids left wanting to listen more to Jimi. I was so proud. ;U;
