A homemade hot tub for an outdoor New Year's Eve pool party in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Consists of four kerosene heaters, two semi truck radiators, a sump pump, and other hardware store materials.

    What kind of weather was this in and what's the capacity of the tub?? How long does it take to heat and from what tempretatue?? I have a hot tub (a gift) with no heater and i was thinking about a homemade wood heater. Any help would be great!!

  • no, progress. The machine shown here worked very well all weekend. After the video, the heaters were enclosed by decking which kept the noise under control. This year, they were moved into a nearby garage and ducted to improve efficiency--allowing the pool to be expanded 30%.
