@IndianaRog i have a quick question about a steam engine. i recently bought a post war fleischmann vertical engine without a piston or cylinder. from what i've gathered it seems to be a nimber 105? however this one does not have a whistle it just has a release valve. i was hoping that you may know where to find parts or info on this because all my efforts haven't helped. thank you for any info given

Thanks for this video.
I learned new things from watching it.
The Qtips idea is very good.
Thanks for sharing it.
That engine looks very nice.

My Jensen 25 from '97 has many leaks, from the steam regulator and sight glass. How can I fix it?
the distiled water costs around 1a3 euro (1.33-3.99)dollar the liter here
so that is a bit costy

Steam engines are costly as well...water with lime (calcium) in it will ruin the boilers.
Another option is to capture water from a dehumidifier, it is free of minerals as is rainwater (or snow melt)...just filter it thru a coffee filter to get out any dirt.
