@Gothxha If you are truly saved, then all the hatred and wrath that God had toward you because of your wretched evil wickedness, was directed to Jesus Christ while He hung on the cross and He absorbed all of it, being crushed under the weight of God's wrath and justice.

To an extent, I agree with this message, but to another, I don't. While it is true that God hates, he hates wickedness and our sinful deeds before hating us ourselves. You see, if he did not have any love at all for any sinners, he wouldn't have died for them that they should be forgiven and saved, but he would have damned the entire world to hell long ago without any mercy. The wicked would not abide on this earth, but would be no more! But he does hate, but even his hatred is fueled by love...

@Gothxha speachless, praise the Lord.
Romans 5:6). God’s just wrath against sin has been placed on His Son Jesus so that all who believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

@Ilovehazel06 Ah, but Jesus said the wrath of God remains on those who do not obey Him:
Jesus said, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." ~ John 3:36

Can you give me all the verses of God's hatred toward the sinners?
Sparda849 1 month ago
@Sparda849 Forgive me for my tone earlier. A few verses off the top of my head: Psalm 5:5-6, 7:11, 11:5, Hosea 9:15, John 3:36, and Romans 9:13. Go to biblegateway . com and do a keyword search; use keywords such as hatred, wrath, etc. Also check out our website truthsource . net. Goto Puritans > Jonathan Edwards and click on his sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." Also search Youtube for "illbehonest Hell is Necessary Tim Conway" ... great teaching on the issue.

...says that God loathes the souls of a body of sinners for their sins and viol ways. At the same time it says that God does not despise a one. So where do we find the balance? We find it in that its his love that fuels his hate in that he cares for us that we should do right and cease from doing wrong. So in a way he hates and loves at the same time.

@Adam789love His eternal, unchanging, intimate love is directed only to His own saints whom He foreknew and predestined.
