Sorry manifar but what Yamaha calls "upconvert" in their AU 2009 product catalogue is the ability to take analogue signals and converting it to HDMI output resulting in reduced interference and a clearer picture. So this product DOES "upconvert" The difference is "Upscaling" where the analogue input is upscaled from say 570p to 1080p which this product doesn't do

Yamaha 663 does NOT upconvert video signals.
It takes analog video input signal and outputs it through HDMI. But it does NOT upvonvert the signal to 1080
