    Why do people that dislike this music always pull this shit about it being try-hard, saying people only like it because of "this" or "that?" I've seen way more pretentious music than this. You just don't like it, that's all. It's not like they are deliberately trying to make music to fool people into thinking they are "good."

    This is an incredibly critical view of music that is in no way harmful to you. Perhaps if you were a musician with an open mind or critical thinking you'd understand that this is what people call EXPERIMENTING. Is it the lyrics you have a problem with? The way David Longstreth is vocalizing? The melody? I have the utmost respect for your opinion, but not for your petty complaints and generalizations. This band is only attempting to push at the limits and constraints of genre and form.
