  • remarkable touch and texture. any player can have a share of musicality but this is where one is distinct, in his own personality. there's more to musicality than mere 'heart', one must dig deep into the piece's background. very rare nowadays to find a performance with such character.

  • A really fine performance with many lovely touches, but it does sound almost as if Zak is playing a glass harmonica! Is this a feature of the source, or has the YouTube compression taken its toll? (The Chopin sonata performance - also excellent - does not have the same sound character).
