Tulane University Digital Trends Presentation:
Bridget McGraw will look critically at the design and distribution of MIT's laptop that was designed for the developing world, focusing on the lack of input from "end users" (i.e., teachers and students in the developing world).
Bridget McGraw was born and raised at the top end of the Mississippi in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she studied English Literature as an undergraduate. She then earned two Masters degrees from New York University - one in Fine Art Photography and the other in Interactive Telecommunications. Since completing her studies in 1994, Bridget has lived and worked in Australia, The Philippines, Canada, Great Britain and Kenya. She has worked as a teacher, instructional designer, museum exhibition producer, writer, videographer, photographer, multimedia producer, editor and technical advisor.
Bridget should also remember that it was 1984, not 1980, when the Mondale campaign repurposed the "where's the beef?" slogan.
