Pavegen installed an energy generating floor at one of the UK's largest festivals to capture the energy from 250,000 footsteps! During the festival revellers stepped, danced and stomped on the stage in their quest to generate renewable energy. This power was used to charge over 1,000 mobile phones over the event!.

Pavegen Systems produce paving slabs which generate electricity from footsteps. A small 5mm movement is enough to harvest the wasted kinetic energy and convert it into off-grid power. The Pavegen slabs are perfect for high footfall areas such shopping centres, train stations and events such as festivals to power off-grid solutions such as interactive displays, street lighting and advertising"
