i love how ellefson is ignoring the guys and just groovin the whole time lol
-
David Ellefson endorses Peavey basses, so my guess would be a 5-string Peavey Cirrus with a custom Trace Elliot graphics scheme.

Guitar heads too bright for bass.

oh, and dave ellefson has ditched peavey and trace elliot and went to jackson and hartke. personally trace elliot sounds better than hartke, but i like jackson basses more than peavey's. :O

It sounds so powerfull...maybe it's just Dave.
Would there be a large tone difference between the 1200W and the 600W heads?

You can certainly dial in some similar clean tones, but the 1,200 watt head adds a second Valve stage, which can allow you to dial in a good bit more warmth and grit than what you can get on the 600w version. And of course, the 1,200 watt head has a 12-band graphic EQ, versus the 6-band on the 600 watt version.

Yes, Gibson did own Trace Elliot at one point, but Peavey bought the brand several years ago.
