Oh give me a break with the stupid ass he had a habit bull shit. Lets get real here, he is a dirty dishonest piece of shit who finally got caught breaking the law he pretended to uphold. I agree whole heartedly! It's more like New World Fraud! Wall Street knew Spitzer would have investigated the real criminals...I'm not justifying what he did but sadly what he did was infintesimal compared to what Wall Street Jihad did and keep doing to the US and global economy.

I understand where you are comming from ace1038 but its the fact that he his a figure in our government. when you are elected into office you can't do things like that because you are not only representing yourself but also a whole state of people...if prostitution wasn't illegal it would not have been as big of an issue. although people would have made it such.... Kind of like the clinton thing. Cheating is not illegal in terms of the law, so we shouldn't have intruded in his personal life.

I would believe that Silda has known for some time what has been going on. I would imagine that no one could hide that for so long; also, were they both not aware the money was going? I mean, if my husband were to magically spend 4 grand on a 'something', I would see it and ask at least a question...I think there was an agreement, or she couldnt stand up to him and just leave if she didnt approve!

...here is the other end of the post - it shows his CHARACTER.He has had this habit (remember, this was an 8-10 year string of prostitution habit) and one's habits are an expression of what is in their heart. He believed he was above the law, he felt these laws should not apply to him; would people want someone who cannot obey laws running an office of such importance? Lets not dip into morality, as far as religion goes; what a person does behind closed doors will eventually spill out in public.

I think that what you are looking for is that 1. the investigation is on how he funded his sex-capades, therefore it is now how he is misusing his position and funds; 2. the question of how this has anything to do with how he does his job, whether or not you believe having an affair is right or wrong, I am sure he knew that prostitution was illegal - follow me, dont give up - ergo, he wasn't going to get caught doing something that 'everyone else' gets in trouble with - see other post...

The part of the speech about the 'great thing about being human is not how you fall, it is the rising up...' Perhaps he should change his thoughts to how, if you fall, and get up, stop stumbling on the SAME addiction! Also, the apology is hollow because he is only sorry AFTER he got caught.
