  • For all the UDE loyalist please listen:

It is confirmed the reason behind Konami is planning to take over YuGiOh TCG from UDE is because UDE produce and supply counterfeit cards to Vintage (500,000 of them).Konami has evidence regarding this matter and this case is still pending in court. For anyone who still doesn't know anything about this, please find information on certain forums.

  • Yea I kinda found out the other day.

  • as long as there is new cards and ppl to play I don't care.

  • UDE wasn't really needed in the first place. Konami just felt in would be easier and cheaper to let an American company handle the North America cards when they first began. But UDE acts as if they own the game, which they don't. If not anything, Konami can get them on copyright infringement. Stating that UDE's copyright license was also ended.

Really, I'm siding with Konami. Upper Deck is unneeded.

Although, worst comes to worst. There's always Magic :-/

  • i only just noticed the back of the booster packs dont have the upper deck logo anymore as i brought a collectible tin today and some booster packs i thought they were fake. but now i found out bout this silly war i think not.

  • So, how's your view on what happened after of what you reported? You know, after all that, Konami still gets the game back from UDE.

  • couldn't Kazuki Takahashi decide all this?? after all, HE IS THE ONE WHO CREATED YU-GI-OH! : I

  • I think what Konami did was morally wrong and at the end of it Konami just want to earn some money. BUT Upper Deck Judges can be corrupt but on the other hand i think the actual card selling and distribution will go down. For example my local store now sells the NEW booster packs for £1.80 when they used to be £2.50 or £2.99. Rumor has it theres going to be a NEW International Konami Yu-Gi-Oh TCG League. Coolio.

    :-)

  • What konami is doing with the game is for our benefit. They're making the game just as enjoyable as it is in japan, in america as well. Trust me I've played the game in japan as well as the US. And i can honestly say that Japan OCG is much more enjoyable than the US. Considering players there carry 10x more decks on them in contrast to the 1-2 decks we carry in us due to the fact that cards here are 100x the value in the US. for example

    (US)DARK ARMED DRAGON - 100$+

    (JPN)DARK ARMED DRAGON - 3$

  • hey 20 $ for the crystal beast mat plz

  • Im glad this happened, UDE where whoring far enough this card game, starting with the price of a card.

  • I agree with u man

  • dont worry, im already on top of it, and i got a new version that is pretty decent lol

  • actually the new rules came out and it kinda screwed the six samurai deeck. u are only allowed 1 reienforcemets and i shogun shien.

  • the sneak preview is back on. its on todaya and tommorow. during feb 28 to mar 1. knomai's takeover is complete. also the champion pack 8 is out now. crimsion crisis is here as well. so there was really no need to dis them now. we should see wat the new command does. hell, komai might relase sd11 and sd12

  • the only thing i dont like about ude is that they dont do back ground checks on there judges nor keep an eye who they hire..

ive seen croked judges, and there computer specialist in the tournaments and its been pissing me off... last time i was there a judge was bribed with 4 shrinks to be placed against his own chosen player to play... and some of those judges they have, has been stealing cards from local stores... (walmart) i was there and i heard them talking

  • I also saw the same remark on pojo.

  • lol you got that from duel school

  • ya I gues that could happen. but either way it's not like we can do much about it. their contract has been terminated. I gues we'll just have to wait and see what happens. XD

  • ok this is how it is and no other way so listen carfully konami is like a big brother that has a lemonade stand and lets his little brother(ude) run it for a while both make money so its all good but when the big brother (konami) wants his stand back the little brother takes a fit. get the hell over it its konami's game to begine with!!!

  • that may be but upperdeck entertainment is the distributer and if konami doesn't give them their contract right sback then the cards may skyrocket in price in places like North America. sry, just my opinion

  • Don't worry, yugioh OCG and TCG are good franchises.Konami wouldn't waste their time and money on the game if it isn't. As long as it earns money for them, the game will continue.I've been collecting yugioh cards for 9++ years now.

  • I just pray that the game continues. I've been collecting these cards for 6+ years, I'd really hate to see the game die now. Although on the other hand, if they stopped making cards, it sure would be easier to catch up.

  • UDE: We care about our gamers.... NOW GO SPEND 200 BUCKS ON THOSE JUDGEMENT DRAGONS SO WE CAN PRINT EVEN LESS OF THEM! --Hugs and kisses Upper Deck

  • UDE Sucks! Konami for the win!
