Chikan (痴漢, チカン, or ちかん) is a Japanese term meaning "molester" or "pervert"; the term is frequently used to describe people who take advantage of the crowded conditions on the public transit systems to touch girls. As part of the effort to combat chikan, some railway companies have designated women-only passenger cars.

It's never happened to me and the buses I ride are crowded as all heck. Probably because I look like a chola and like I could kill someone with my bare hands.

Plus my mom is protective and keeps an eye on me, hell, my whole family would go ape sh*t on someone if they did something like that to me.

I think I was chikan'd once when I was 11 on a bus my way to school. It was very crowded and a man standing near me grapped my thigh. I was scared, but I couldn't scream or dare to make a noise. Luckily the bus run on not so long till I notice it's about to stop right where I usually had to get off, so I just rushed off.
