Love Behind Bars-Jemi Story Episode 5

(The guard pounded on the door of the visitation room. Joe moved from underneath Demi, who had fallen asleep in his arms. With a slow and soon-to-be regretful motion, Joe opens the door, to find the crossed arms of two amazon guards. Joe nods his head knowing what he has to do. Joe's head turns in Demi's direction as he gazes at her beauty while he still has the time left to.Demi stirs a little bit before opening her eyes and meeting the gaze of Joe's eyes. Her eyes glaze over in tears when she comes to the realization that the guards have come to notify them that there time is up.Demi rushes over to Joe, who had his arms wide open waiting for a hug.)

Joe-Remember what I said about the plan.If we do this right then we will be living in a house, not an apartment, and we will be free from everything that has held us back, and if we do this right, Demi, we can share a life together with our baby.

Demi-You just washed away every worry and doubtful thought I had. I know what I have to do.

Joe-We can make this happen, Dems. You just have to believe.

(Joe pulls away from Demi and walks over to the guards where he is placed in handcuffs.Demi walks over to him and kisses him softly on the lips before placing her forehead together with his.They smile at each other and kiss once more before the guards escort to out of the room. Demi walks back to the room that held her belongings. With a smile on her face, she grabs her bags and leaves through the door she entered.)

Demi's Pov- For us and the baby. Just remember that, Demi. Your entire future is at stake if you dont help Joe, but then again you could end up in jail too for helping a prisoner escape. Oh gosh! I cant have this baby in jail! The jail keeps would take him or her away because a baby cant survive in prison.But I have to help Joe get out. No matter what happens. Besides if we get caught and sent to prison, nothing worse can happen if we try another escape plan. It's settled, im going to do whatever I can possibly do to get Joe out of prison. Even if it means going Canadian. I mean ive always enjoyed Canadian bacon, especially since I got pregnant.


(Throughout the day, Demi ignored all of the phone calls that appeared on her cell phone and landline caller I.D. Demi surfed the web for homes in Nova Scotia, Canada.She would make phone calls to moving vans willing to drive Demi and Joe's belongings all the way to Canada. Each business declined Demi's request.Around three o'clock in the afternoon, Demi stomach began growling loudly. Demi put her hand on her stomach and stroked it gently as tears welled up in her eyes.)

Demi's Pov- I cant get one trucking business to move our furniture and knick knacks. On top of that, I have been calling all day and looking online that I became so pre-occupied that I forgot to eat. I'm harming my baby and putting Joe at risk. What happens if the guy and Joe break out and Joe comes to our apartment and I dont have a home bought in Canada and our decor is still here, unmoved? Maybe I can call in a favor to an old friend. I should have her number somewhere around here.

(Demi searched the apartment for the number. Demi turned to look around the tv where she saw the number on a tattered and torn piece of paper.She smiled triumphantly and began dialing the number on the landline. The phone rang three consecutive times before a squeeky voice sounded through on the other side.)

Demi-Hey, this is Demi. I was wondering if Miley was there.

Miley-Wow, you know we havent talked in a while If you cant recognize me.

Demi-We talked just three weeks ago.

Miley-Yeah I remember you talking about how you visited Joe in prison.

Demi-Yeah that was it. Anyways I called to ask you if you could get your father to send one of his truckers over to my house and drive my stuff up to Canada.

Miley-Yeah that can be arranged, but why are you going to Canada if Joe is still in prison?

Demi-That doesnt really matter, does it?

Miley-But I dont understand. Why would you leave the love of your life and the father of your baby? I cant imagine you doing that. Unless you were really planning on helping Joe esca- Oh my gosh! You are going to break him out of prison!
