  • I'm afraid that there is a terrible lack of imagination in this musician. Furthermore, his technique is simply not up to this piece.

So the musical and pianistic result is a failure - monotonous, ill-conceived, dull and toe-curling.

Why do so many YT "concert pianists" choose to display performances which actually reveal their inadequacies?

  • is it me or the piano sounds weird on the bass notes?

  • @exponentu I would like to see you do better. Talking is easy...

  • After assist a concert where Yundi li played this sonata, a have no patience to whatch this video.

  • LISZT IS OUT OF THIS "PIANIST" LEAGUE.

  • I agree with the comments about Lytle's technique. It is not the greatest. All I can say is that I grew up near UCSD and so had a chance to hear him perform on numerous occasions and I usually heard great "heart" in what he plays. I realize that excuse is often used for pianists with poor technique, but it's true and he often interests me, which is more than I can say for some with greater technique.

I should also say I don't know him and never took a class from him.

  • West coast classical artists are so much different from East coast classical artists!

  • What a tremendous work and control of himself ! THANK YOU MAN !

  • He play the sonata with freedom. He has a good technique, but he does too mistakes...
