Esto no es samba. Ella baila bien y no pondre en duda que sea buena maestra. Pero si le pones de titulo a un video "samba Class" esperas ver samba. Y tampoco es "samba de salon" para empesar tendrias que bailar samba con musica de samba y no con una salsa.

This teacher is an excellent dancer and it appears, an excellent teacher. Thank you for breaking it down, Monika, so us "average people" can learn.

I have seen some classes from Monika. She is a really good teacher and dancer! I am not questioning this. But i affirm, this dance is not based on samba. the principle of samba is the movement of your feet, not roll your waist. The movement of the waist and the butt is just a consequence of the steps.

It is just one of the examples prooving that this dance is not samba.

@gloriamargarita Si eso me parecia a mi también a simple vista, pero ya que he tenido oportunidad de estudiar un poquito resulta que hay una gran variedad de pasos específicos de cada ritmo y son muy diferentes, aunque las diferencias parecian sutiles al inicio ahora veo que no es asi

That could be anything else, but NEVER Samba!!!! The song is not samba, is Salsa. In Brazil we don´t have that song.

And the dance seems a kind of salsa too, but i never see that before...

BTW, i´m brazilian!!! That´s why i know this NEVER could be called of Samba!
