Mary was between the ages of 12-14 and engaged to be married. At the young age she was, she may not have been excited to grow up and be married yet. She was probably nervous and scared. And to be pregnant before being married was a very big deal then. But you see in this scripture that she trusts God. Later in this same chapter of Luke, Mary responds to her relative Elizabeth with a song of praise to God. She is grateful to be chosen to be a part of God's plan. She thanks Him over and over for what He is doing in her life. Of everything we see about Mary through scriptures, she is always willing and thankful to be used by God.
