Bullshit. Johnson requested for Jackie to ride with him in his car the day before. He vigorously argued with JFK over this and JFK said no. Johnson also tried to swap political adversary Yarborough from his car for Connally. He knew. The only reason he asked Hoover if anyone was shooting at him was to fathom how deep the plot went just in case he was a target as well. Then he would know what was what.

@cruisersism Only probably with your LBJ theory is that he was the greatest President in history (except for Vietnam), and he believed in an assassination conspiracy, but thought it was to get him as well as JFK.

Oh sure the mafia can change the route the day of the parade, or call off the SS at the airport that post up at the back of JFK's vehicle, or screw up the autopsy, or release so many folks that were caught up in the dragnet, or see J. Edgar the next day to have him stand down on the investigation, etc.! Who was the brother -in law of the mayor of Dallas? Who got Allen Dulles appointed as 2nd, in command on the Warren Commission?
