Even if I was, all that Jesus does is to please the Father. He does nothing outside the Father's will. Keep reading John 5...God can only work through us? Wow! John the Baptist told the Pharisees that God could raise stones to be his people. (Matthew 3 and Luke 3) He chooses to use man. He's not obligated to do so.

John5 :21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son... We are judged by Christ no longer sinners. He chooses who choose to be chosen. He does not just do as he pleases. It's our realm. The natural, physical, not spiritual. God can only work through us. God calls all few are chosen because few listen!

@cliffe98 I didnt make it up, Romans 3 says that no man is righteous, nor does he seek God. We offend God because of our sin, and the wages of that sin is death... We will only confess and believe in Jesus (Romans 10), if God elects us to do so.(Romans 9). We can choose God, only if he has FIRST chosen us... You are right, we are not puppets, but we are HIS creation, and he will do whatever he wants. We are subject to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not the other way around.
