To all the whiners about von Braun: He was just too important to be killed and the USA knew that. I agree, he should have been in Nürnberg for the trials and sentenced to prison, at least. He sold his soul to the devil (the Nazi Party) to make his dreams come true. But he also helped mankind to go far beyond what everybody thought was possible. Without him, nobody would have gone to the moon and the ISS would be a dream today. Admirable scientist, as a human being not so much.
