  • sounds good from here''i ditched all my tube amps and 4x12 speakers.just use a GT8' into a pa'much more convienent, and sounds great!!!

  • @Alxscode and sounds like absolute shit. I had a gnx4 and played an rp-1000 and an 1101. really dug my 2101 I had years ago but my god the newer stuff sounds like dog shit. sorry, not slamming digitech cuz I never want fewer choices - and their prices are great. but god-fucking-dammit if they dont sound lifeless and narrow in frequency response and just feel like crap. I was so bummed when I played the rp1000 : (

  • @grpcreach Rocktron recently came out with the midi raider which is very similar but better features apparently. Rocktron also has the All Access which is top notch pro level switching system but its way overkill for me and its also a thousand smackers. The midi raider is 400 bones

  • @SonyV1U trust me, the difference in breadth, depth, clarity, presence, openness is huge. Cant convey this enough. I REALLY do not want to have to spend this kind of money if I could just use a V-amp. I have owned about 6 pre-amp/MFX units and rocktron stuff just kills all the modeling stuff. absolutely fucking KILLS it. in both feel and sound but especially feel. I tried eleven rack recently too - I havent tried the AXE though but experience suggests crappy feel even if it sounds good.

  • Hey good video Mcfly!

  • @AVEIL I had a GNX4. the awful tone made me want to vomit. I sold it after a few months. I had a digitech 2101 years ago and that sounded very good. but digitech stuff is so absolutely horrific these days. very cool options and features etc they are great with that but if sounds terrible or FEELS terrible, then who cares? bummer cuz I never WANT an effects unit etc to sound bad. especially one I bought! lol Rocktron sounds best imo for multieffect unit. they feel the best by far.

  • The Mustain lead sound doesn't sound like it at all. Either the Les Paul pickups are coloring it or the playing suks

  • @Alxscode Those DNX 4 models seem to have everything! The guys from Guitar World use them, they must be good. I've rarely seen them advertised, though. Sometimes I think they put too much stuff into these boards. I used to have a Roland FX board, I would kill to have again! For what it is, I do like my L6 M13. 75 FX (only 4 at once, though) w/out all the cords, in 1 metal box, is pretty cool. 4 live, I will prob. get BOSS GT-10, or DT1000, but still use M13 too. None of them are perfect, yet.

  • I love my Line 6 M13 effects modeler. The effects are good, except for the compressors. You can only have 4 FX on @ a time, but it has its own loop to add more. I rarely need more than 4 FX anyway. @ any rate, having access to 75 FX (incl. all delays from famous del. ped) all in a metal box with just 1 long power cord (wart not on end!) is a great thing, & most of the FX are really good. Plus, in manual mode, it auto-remembers settings w/out any programming! 4 great distortion, need tube amp.
