The Mall at Millenia is an upscale enclosed two-story shopping mall located in Orlando, Florida near Interstate 4. Opened in 2002, it has over 150 stores, and is anchored by Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and Neiman Marcus. It has a GLA of 1,118,000 ft² (103,866 m²).
The Mall at Millenia advertises itself as an upscale premium shopping mall, as evidenced by its choice of anchors. Its Macy's was the first in Central Florida, and remains its largest (the other Macy's in Orlando are converted Burdines stores). Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus were also Orlando-area firsts. Orlando's first Apple Store also opened here.
The Mall was designed by JPRA Architects and features award-winning lighting[1] by Paul Gregory.
Several premium stores also surround the mall, including art galleries and Mercedes-Benz of South Orlando. The world-famous IKEA store opened adjacent to the mall on November 14, 2007.
In the surrounding area, several "Upscale" housing complex's have been developed including "Heritage at Millenia".
The name of the mall is intentionally misspelled ("Millennia" should be spelled with two 'n's), presumably so that it can be trademarked.
