Ah sweet, ok. Yeah np.
You're the only one so far I've subscribed to, ever. :p
I bet you feel special. lol
I'm trying to learn dreamweaver, so far all I know is handcrafted html, which takes long to make. Your videos are helping me get an edge on my career and helping me get familiar with DW.
I have a question, if you have the time.
About cold fusion.
What is so special about cold fusion? Is it just a "autofill" html editor? Or is it a topic on format?

Ahh ok, thank you. I just looked over my comment poor typing everywhere. I apologize for that, I was in a hurry.
I'll subscribe to you. You're videos are listen friendly, and I hope to see the video on the php and XAMPP when you finaly make it. Thank you.

I had an idea, but this clears thing sup thanks. I was woundering if Dreamweaver runs a format that does php includes tags, so that you can just change the header, side pars and footer indevidually then every include tag automatically pulls in your one time changes? Or do you ahve to hand craft include tags?
Also, what was that _work folder used for? I didn't see what you used it for in your video.

well done, this video help me alot to start my first dream weaver template and I had done,
thank for sharing, Keep it up!
Nagzul: You have to do a lot to set up Dreamweaver to work with PHP. Usually this involves installing XAMPP, which is a free download, and setting up the Testing Server when you set up your site. I'll do a video on it soon. Also the /_work folder, I use that in every project to hold my Photoshop files, Word documents and generally everything else that I need to build things for the site, but don't actually want to put on a page.

Now, I've noticed you are working with an older Dreamweaver.
The one I have is in fact the latest dreamweaver. This has an option for php format.
I've tried to follow your instructions under the php option and have my template file automatically saved as a php file.
I'm guessing the steps with downloading XXAMPP, is unnecessary with a later dreamweaver programs?

XAMPP is necessary even in the newer version. Dreamweaver will WRITE .php files but you have to have a properly configured web server to RUN .php files. Dreamweaver can't help you to see the out put from a .php without XAMPP. I'll be upgrading to CS4 in August, but the steps should be the same as CS3. And thanks your your interst in all of this!
