@36vette1 my comment was in reference to an earlier comment saying a 5l mustang produces 400+hp and very few european cars produce this much power normally aspirated. I was merely giving an example of euro cars that achieved better than that over 14 years ago. So everything you said is irrelevant to the discussion. LOL. For the record I have had an average 38 mpg in my euro e36 m3 evo over a long mainly motorway drive.

@KS873081 but why bother stressing an engine ?? the lsx series of engines returns better fuel consumption than any m3 engine with up to 35 mpg possible . that is the whole point of a smaller engine but if u can get it with a bigger LIGHTER v8 with tons more torque then why use a highly stressed small engine with no low down power ?? lol

@Tristanbedwards lol are u serious ?

@blahblop123 am i missing something here ? the vette won by miles as it should of done
-
@BrandenburgKommando it should have won it with its eyes closed... it underperformed.. i would have sleepless nights if i was the owner of that car..
-
@blahblop123 Actually by your logic the lighter more powerful car should have won the drag.... but it didn't and it would not win corners either the 135 is an excellent car when it comes to handling
-
why are people drag racing a z06... a car thats made for corners ??... everytime i see it drag race, it emphasizes the same point over and over again... its not made for the strip... the vette should have eaten that 100kg heavier 200 less horsepowered hatchback...

@25syndromet I completely agree! I have a 135i and have taken a CL63 amg... I had a passenger in the car he didn't, he even got the jump on me and I still took him... Unfortunately don't have a video.
@turbob84
I agree that germans beat the americans any day.
But the 135i beats a lot of other cars which on paper should be able to kill it.
Lovely car that is..

@florian558866 Yeah, that's great, but what happens when the engine that has 105 BHP Per Liter weighs 4,000+ pounds?
