Just a quick rant on California's Supreme Court ruling on Prop 8 today, Im on my way to the rally at Santa Monica & Vicente to tape some footage

The will of the people should only apply when the issues affects EVERYONE. When the issue only affects one section of society, other people's opinion is irrelevant.

The only people who should be allowed to vote on GAY rights, is GAY people, because thats the only people that it affects.

I see your point but no disrespect I feel you are missing the bigger picture. Same sex unions affect everyone that a traditional marriage would from insurance Co.'s to divorce settlements. Prior to the 19th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution in 1920 allowing women the right to vote the will of the people was against it. Positive action at the Federal level is often needed in this country to effect social change..this affects more than just gays..U must see the bigger picture

Ur very correct, I do stand behind the courts ruling because as I said to arbitrarily toss out the election results would make a mockery of our processes..& its a very slippery slop indeed for had they overturned it today whats to stop them from reversing that decision 2 or 3 years from now..& to answer ur question..No I dont think the court would get involved..I mean look at our medicnal marijuana laws in CA as

You hit a a bunch of great points in this vid, but I think the best one was the reference to racial discrimination in our history. It really does share a disturbingly high number of similarities to the rights of gays being denied. Hope the rally went well! 8)
