  • I agree that Rtype is kind of mushy on the controls. They are a lot better when playing on a gameboy. I noticed some controller lag when playing golf on the gc gameboy player, and it´s really hard to time the strokes right.

  • I've noticed some lag on a few games as well :(

  • Brilliant coverage; although it likes its slowdown, it looks quite impressive in terms of accuracy, and I kind of wish I'd bought games like this when we had our Game Boy rather than the tat we ended up with... :P

  • Thankfully GB games for next to nothing on eBay these days. Well worth a look through all the classics you probably missed.

  • Speccy plays better.

  • I've got R-type DX for the GameBoy Color, which features the original and an enhanced (colourful and less flickery) version. I thought this was a superb conversion considering the limitations of the machine. Probably my favourite shooter on the machine, Nemesis and Burai Fighter closely following.

  • great video man

  • Thank God for the Gameboy Player eh? Nice finale for the R-Type 8 bits.

  • Theres a decent port for GBC, I beleave it's called R-TYPE DX

  • Amazing port. Even the music is fantastic!
